2nd Cycle
New challenges, more independence, the same closeness. The 2nd Cycle is a new stage of growth, with more demanding learning, greater independence and new responsibilities. We keep rigorous teaching and close, individual support, encouraging critical thinking, confidence and preparing our pupils for the challenges ahead.

In the 2nd Cycle, we encourage more demanding learning, independence and a sense of responsibility, while keeping close, individual support that pays attention to each pupil’s needs and potential.
All subjects
Portuguese, Maths, English, Natural Sciences, History and Geography of Portugal, Visual Education, Technology, Music, Physical Education, Citizenship and ICT. In 6th grade, also a complementary subject (Oferta Complementar).
Cambridge English
English continues with the internationally recognised Cambridge programme.
Educational psychology support
Support for pupils who have difficulties and weaknesses in their learning.

New classrooms designed for 5th and 6th graders, ready in September 2027.
A day in the 2nd Cycle

50-minute periods, with 15-minute breaks at 9:20 and 11:15 am.
